Walk the Walk is a powerful piece for orchestra, working equally well for large or chamber string orchestra. It was originally written as a celebratory piece for the 20th anniversary of Coole Music & Arts in the west of Ireland.
Walk the Walk had its first performance with a youth orchestra of around 80 players (and an audience of 500) at the Music4Life Concert in County Galway in October 2025. This was followed by a performance at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, where two other orchestras joined in with woodwind, brass and percussion to form a full orchestra of about 120 players. Just a week later, it featured in a chamber concert in County Kilkenny. Audiences loved it every time, and I'm delighted to now share it with other orchestras!
